ANTIMATTER

A common scientific theory is that for every piece of matter in the universe, there exists an inverse of that piece of matter, or antimatter.
A piece of antimatter is the complete opposite of its equivalent piece of matter in terms of electric charge. It has the same mass and other physical characteristics. A proton has a charge of +1. An anti-proton has a charge of -1, because it's made up of anti-up and anti-down quarks, with opposite charges of up and down quarks, respectively.
